Greeting
The First Strike
Can we imagine our life without music? Although the musical taste of people is very different, music in all its genres belongs to our daily life and is important for our well-being, for relaxation and for making our life a lucky one. There are some compositions who are like life-long friends for us, and we rightly admire those who have
created such art. But we also need the musicians who perform the works and who always care for new arrangements and ideas in order to prevent the music from becoming old-fashioned. When 12 cellists from Thuringian orchestras are now performing together, this combination shows the liveliness of both the art and the interpreters. I was very glad to take over the patronage regarding the project “The First Strike”, and I am looking forward (together with all music lovers in Thuringia and the rest of the world – and of course especially together with the cello lovers) to listening to this very special CD!
Yours sincerely,
